Random Pokémon Nature Generator
This generator picks a random Pokémon Nature from all 25, and shows which stat it raises and which it lowers. Adamant, for example, raises Attack and lowers Special Attack. The 5 neutral Natures (Bashful, Docile, Hardy, Quirky, Serious) change nothing.
Players use it to set up Nature-locked challenges, to decide the personality of a Pokémon in a fan story or roleplay, or just to see what a random Nature would do to a favourite Pokémon's stats. The full chart of all 25 Natures is below for quick reference.
The stat effects shown are the ones used in the main-series games since Natures were introduced.
Natures were added in Generation III with Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. Every Pokémon has one. A non-neutral Nature raises one stat by 10% and lowers another by 10%. It never affects HP. The difference is small at low levels, but in competitive battles the right Nature can decide who moves first or whether an attack knocks out its target.
For years, the only way to get the Nature you wanted was to catch or breed Pokémon until the right one appeared. Pokémon Sword and Shield introduced Mints. Feeding one to a Pokémon changes which stats its Nature affects, while the Nature's name stays the same. Natures also decide which flavours a Pokémon likes and dislikes.
Each Nature has a 1 in 25 chance, which matches how the games work: a wild Pokémon's Nature is normally random. Players who want a particular Nature can lead with a Pokémon that has the Synchronize ability, which makes wild Pokémon more likely to share its Nature.
Raise Attack or Special Attack at the cost of the attacking stat a Pokémon doesn't use.
Raise Speed so fast attackers move first, lowering the unused attacking stat.
Raise Defense or Special Defense for walls and support Pokémon that don't need Attack.

The best Nature raises a stat your Pokémon relies on and lowers one it doesn't need. Physical attackers rarely use Special Attack and special attackers rarely use Attack, so those are the usual stats to lower. Fast attackers often take a Speed-raising Nature to move before their opponents, while slower, stronger Pokémon take one that raises their attacking stat instead. For Pokémon that set up in slow-paced battles, some players even choose a Nature that lowers Speed on purpose.
Each stat is linked to a flavour: Attack to spicy, Defense to sour, Speed to sweet, Special Attack to dry and Special Defense to bitter. A Pokémon likes the flavour of the stat its Nature raises and dislikes the flavour of the stat it lowers. An Adamant Pokémon, for example, likes spicy food and dislikes dry food. This affects treats like Pokéblocks and Poffins, and some Berries that restore HP can confuse a Pokémon that dislikes their flavour.
