About the Random Pokémon Berry Generator
This generator picks a random Berry from all 68 Berries in the Pokémon games. The list includes healing staples like the Oran Berry and Sitrus Berry, status cures like the Lum Berry, and rare battle Berries like the Liechi Berry and Lansat Berry.
Berries are some of the most useful items in Pokémon. A Pokémon holding one will eat it on its own in battle when the time is right, so choosing the right Berry can turn a close fight. The generator is handy for held-item challenges, farming goals, trivia and cooking or baking ideas based on the games.
Each Berry appears once in the list, so every one has the same chance of being picked.
Berries in the Pokémon Games
Growing and gathering
Berries first appeared in Pokémon Gold and Silver, growing on trees you could pick from once a day. Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire introduced the named Berries still used today, such as Oran, Pecha and Sitrus, and let players plant and grow their own. Since then, Berries have been grown, bought, gathered and even picked up by Pokémon in the wild.
More than a snack
Berries are also used to cook and bake treats, such as Pokéblocks and Poffins, that raise a Pokémon's contest stats. Each Berry has its own mix of flavours, and a Pokémon's Nature decides which flavours it likes. Many Berries are named after real fruits and plants, such as the Cheri Berry after the cherry and the Pecha Berry after the peach.
